"Raise Your Voice" with a groovy gospel-inspired choir session this December, in this Sister Act-themed choir masterclass. The session will include warm ups based on songs from SISTER ACT-THE MUSICAL, singing tips, and learning the hit song Raise Your Voice together. Plus a Sister Act QUIZ!

We are welcoming new members to the choir in January 2025 for a fun-filled term learning show tunes, technique and harmonies with like-minded people.
The Chelmsford Musical Theatre Choir welcomes all levels of singer-no auditions! We perform at local venues, as well as larger scale events such as supporting Gareth Malone on tour!
Chelmsford choir rehearse on Mondays at Great Baddow Millenium Centre 7.30-9pm. Our sister choir, in Colchester rehearse on Tuesday evenings at Stanway Victory Hall 7.30pm-9pm. Secure your choir seat for either of our Essex locations now using the link below.

Sarah Mahony is an ex - musical theatre performer, choir leader and vocal coach at top UK drama schools.
Sarah spent twelve years performing in theatres up and down the country and internationally, before doing a Masters Degree in voice and moving into teaching singing full time. She launched Chelmsford Musical Theatre choir in September 2023 and in their first year they have sung with Gareth Malone, recorded a charity music video, performed at the Chelmsford Christmas Lights Switch On, and have performed Christmas and Spring Concerts in the beautiful St Marys Church. They also performed to a sell-out audience at the Chelmsford Theatre, in their most recent concert "Songs From the Stage and Screen". She opened a second Sing Space choir in Colchester, who rehearse on Tuesday evenings and are preparing for their Christmas Concert at the beautiful St Botolphs Church in Colchester.
Sarah believes strongly in the mental health benefits of singing, and welcomes all levels of singers, creating an atmosphere that balances singing technique and harmony skills, with having fun!
