TRAINING:

Music Education and Music Performance at East Tennessee State University

CHOIR LEADER: Sara Davey

Hey I'm Sara Brimer Davey and was born in East Tennessee and studied Music Education and Music Performance at East Tennessee State University.

In 2018 I received a “Distinguished Alumni” award from my university for work I have done across the globe.

Since moving to London to join The Swingles as high soprano in 2009, I have worked on Sky’sTV show Sing: Ultimate Acapella, sung on the soundtracks of over 50 films including The Marvels, Fantastic Beasts, and then as a soloist in the 2020 film Emma, and I have workshopped and coached vocal groups and individuals worldwide.

I provided backing vocals for many artists including Sam Smith, Mari Wilson, Jamie Cullum, Ellie Goulding, Gary Barlow, and Goldie.

After leaving The Swingles in 2018, I have continued singing and coaching and I am currently living just outside of Cambridge enjoying the English village life.

CHOIR MANAGER: Chris Richardson

Hello! I’m Chris and I'd like to share a bit about myself and the wonderful choir that I have the honour of being a custodian over.

I’ve had the privilege to work with West End Performers, vocal coaches and celebrities in the entertainment business. I have experience of managing choirs and chairing choir committees. I was the Sing Space Choir Representative for Gareth Malone 2023.

I am very passionate about the role a choir can have on our mental and physical well being, the powerful impact it can have in our community, how it brings individuals together and gives us a sense of belonging. I am very proud to be the choir manager for the Sing Space Luton Musical Theatre Choir!

The choir is a safe space for all different levels of singer and performer. This is not an audition choir, we want it to be an inclusive place for all. If you have love for Musical Theatre and singing, this is absolutely the place for you!

I can’t wait to meet you and join in song with you!
