CHOIR LEADER: James Burns
Hey I'm James, a music enthusiast and educator who's all about bringing inclusivity and diversity to the forefront of music.
I studied Music Technology in uni, but my love affair with music started way back when I was 14, leading choirs and belting out tunes until my parents told me to go to bed. I thrive on sharing my passion for music with everyone I meet, cheering them on to be their most confident selves.
I’ve been heard as part of a choir on BBC Radio London, playing gigs at spots like the ExCel or the Clapham Grand, and I lead choirs all over London; I'm all about making music accessible to anyone, regardless of formal training. Singing is one of the most uplifting things anyone can do, so it’s a joy to share it with anyone.
I can’t wait to meet you to make some wonderful music together!
CHOIR MANAGER: Chris Richardson
Hello! I’m Chris and I'd like to share a bit about myself and the wonderful choir that I have the honour of being a custodian over.
I’ve had the privilege to work with West End Performers, vocal coaches and celebrities in the entertainment business. I have experience of managing choirs and chairing choir committees. I was the Sing Space Choir Representative for Gareth Malone 2023.
I am very passionate about the role a choir can have on our mental and physical well being, the powerful impact it can have in our community, how it brings individuals together and gives us a sense of belonging. I am very proud to be the choir manager for the Sing Space Luton Musical Theatre Choir!
The choir is a safe space for all different levels of singer and performer. This is not an audition choir, we want it to be an inclusive place for all. If you have love for Musical Theatre and singing, this is absolutely the place for you!
I can’t wait to meet you and join in song with you!
Ts & Cs:
If attendee joins the choir full term, the Drop in Fees will be deducted from the Full term fee. However, the cooling off period is reflective from your drop in session date.
There are no refunds, but bookings can be transferred to another person.
Under 18s must be booked with an accompanying adult.
If alcohol is offered, proof of ID may be asked for.
Any Government mandated lockdown or restriction of any kind may warrant us to move to online sessions. No refund will be given as sessions will still happen via live streaming.
In cases where your Choir Leader may be ill - our priority is always to still have the session go ahead and your Choir Leader will provide cover for this session. If they are unable to find suitable cover for the session, time will be given to make up for the session missed.
Monies paid are collected by Arts Collective Ltd acting as agent for Sing Space Choir North and Chris Richardson. VAT Included where applicable.
I look forward to it every week and it’s 2 hours of my week that’s scheduled just for me; it’s been a huge boost for my mental health.
I’d forgotten how much joy singing brings me and you’ve managed to bring together such a wonderful bunch of people for this choir, I feel grateful that I get to spend a portion of my week with you all.
