Haia, I’m Leigh and I’m super excited to be heading the Kendal Musical Theatre Choir!
I am a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in classical singing, but spent most of my career in musical theatre. As a crossover artist, my singing and acting career have taken me all around the UK and Europe.
After living in London for 15 years, where I had amazing opportunities to cover and play the roles of Christine Daaè (Phantom of the Opera) and Cosette (Les Miserables) amongst being involved in many other shows. I moved up from London just over 4 years ago now, literally just before Covid hit (remember those days?! ), as I was about to have my second bubs. It was the best decision we ever made. I still do the odd occasional gig here and there, singing and for After Dark Murder Mystery…but I am a mainly a mummy and part time private singing teacher.
I adore singing and how it provides the escapism and endorphins we all need, especially in a choir where people of all ages and abilities can feel safe, comfortable to express themselves and to share their love and passion for musical theatre. I am delighted to be the person to be building up the choir in Kendal and I l can’t wait to see you there!
Ts & Cs:
If attendee joins the choir full term, the Drop in Fees will be deducted from the Full term fee. However, the cooling off period is reflective from your drop in session date.
There are no refunds, but bookings can be transferred to another person.
Under 18s must be booked with an accompanying adult.
If alcohol is offered, proof of ID may be asked for.
Any Government mandated lockdown or restriction of any kind may warrant us to move to online sessions. No refund will be given as sessions will still happen via live streaming.
In cases where your Choir Leader may be ill - our priority is always to still have the session go ahead and your Choir Leader will provide cover for this session. If they are unable to find suitable cover for the session, time will be given to make up for the session missed.
Monies paid are collected by Arts Collective Ltd acting as agent for Sing Space Choir North and Leigh Rhianon Coggins. VAT Included where applicable.
I look forward to it every week and it’s 2 hours of my week that’s scheduled just for me; it’s been a huge boost for my mental health.
I’d forgotten how much joy singing brings me and you’ve managed to bring together such a wonderful bunch of people for this choir, I feel grateful that I get to spend a portion of my week with you all.
